Barkfur Wolf
The barkfur wolf is a dangerous beast native to Longmorn Forest. These creatures hunt in packs, pouncing from the shadows and taking down prey three times their size. Plants and Fungi grow from the shrubs along their backs, and their bite is fatally poisonous to humans. It is believed that the barkfur wolves came to Fardenrule from the Elemental Plane of Nature, and they are not alone: many—if not most—creatures in Longmorn have bark counterparts.
Rockworm
The rockworm is a pest that becomes a ferocious problem when left unchecked. Birthed from eggs as small as rats, they grow to become rock-breaking monstrosities up to eight feet long from tail to jaw. Rockworms have massive mandibles of stone with the strength to break through rock. They are natural tunnellers and birth their hundreds of spawn in spacious cave systems. They feast on a diet of underground animals such as moles, rats, and worms but have also been known to devour unsuspecting human miners. Therefore, a mine is never safe until you know for certain that rockworms have not discovered it.
Yeti
Yetis are lonely, mysterious creatures that dwell in the mountain ranges of the Frostmist Peaks. Known to hibernate for years at a time, when they awaken, they hunt with an insatiable hunger, leaving their caves and roaming for miles to eat anything warm with blood. A yeti has never been known to die of old age—the longer they live, the larger and stronger they get. If a human senses a yeti approaching, their only hope is to run away and call for aid from the Slayers Guild.
Undead
Undead creatures result from necromancy magic forcing a soul back into a dead, empty body. From then on, they are a thrall to the necromancer, doing as they command without mercy. But should the necromancer lose control of their minion, the undead creature will become free and wander mindlessly in search of raw flesh to feed a hunger that can never be satisfied.
Gigantic Frog
An apex predator of the Malodour Mire, gigantic frogs are solitary beasts that hunt in their swampland territory for prey with warm blood and crunchy bones. Their main weapon of attack is their monstrous tongue, which they unleash with terrifying strength and speed. Gigantic frogs remain still for hours, lurking within deceptively deep pools of muddy water, but once the hunt begins, they move at tremendous speed using their hind legs to propel themselves great distances.
